The Writing on Sand

1 Mins read

Do you remember writing your name in the sand at the beach, only to watch the waves wash it away? I used to do that all the time. Each time it felt like life offering me a clean slate, wiping away pain and past mistakes.

But today, I’m thinking about those grand fresh-start intentions we set for ourselves.

How many of us often come up with ambitious goals, only to see them fade like words written on sand, washed away by the tides of daily life?

This time, let’s do something different. Let’s anchor our resolutions.

Anchoring Your Fresh-Start Intentions:

Here are a few simple ways to anchor them.

  • Infuse with Purpose: Don’t just jot it down—ask yourself why it matters and let that “why” guide your actions.
  • Map Small Steps: Break your intention into bite-sized tasks you can tackle weekly.
  • Check In Often: Schedule brief, regular reviews—your morning coffee can be a 5‑minute intention check.
  • Celebrate Micro-Wins: Finished one task? Celebrate it—your consistency is worth honoring
  • Practice Self-Compassion: If you stumble, give yourself grace. Every effort counts.

Your intentions matter. Your dreams are worth the effort. This time, let’s anchor them deeply—so they hold fast, even when the waves roll in.

What intention will you anchor today? May it hold steady through every ebb and flow.
